hehehe, I promise I'll settle on one for a longer period soon. hehehe Well, technically, I have a christmas one, and will have that one for all of december... It's just too early to put that one up. *nods* Anyway, I like this icon. If you can't read it, it says 'we just want to be happy'.

Yesterday something happened that made me very happy, even thru my being sick. Certain things are looking up. :)
This was of course followed with things that made me bleh again. However, the happy parts cancelled out the not so great parts of yesterday. n.n

Oh, yesterday also I went to the doctors because it sort of feels like I'm getting an ear infection. Well, technically I went to our walk in clinic. My mom also felt like she might have been getting an ear infection. Basically we both got the same virus, I just got sick a few hours after she did. :P Anyway, I don't want to ignore problems with my ears. I've had my eardrum break once already. Not fun. x.x Don't want to take chances. *nods* (I'll tell you about the eardrum in a minute) Anyway, want to know something funny about when I went to get checked in? Me and mom went in together, and we were talking to the receptionist, and then the lady looks at me and my info, and she calls over the other lady that's working and is like 'how can she be her own legal guardian?? Unless she got emancipated or...' Remember I've pretty much lost my voice, so I'm over there like 'But I'm 21! I'm not underage!' and they finally hear me, and the woman is like 'you're 21?!?! How can that be? You look so YOUNG!' And I'm like, yeah, I get that a lot. lol Seriously, I do. So there was some more conversation about me not looking my age. She was like 'you must hate hearing this all the time!' to which I replied that it really didn't bother me. So I look young. That just means when I'm old, I'll still look young. Just like everyone in my family. mwhahaha. ;)

Want to hear the story behind my broken eardrum? Doesn't matter if you want to hear it, you're going to anyway. bwahaha! Ok, I think the summer before my senior year of high school I was swimming a lot (like every summer), unfortunetely I got swimmers ear. Ok, I went to the doctors because that hurt damnit. However, you know how inept the doctors are around here. The doctor came in and didn't have my chart. He didn't go to get any info on me though... So he just made his diagnosis and stuff, and of course, like everyone else, he thought I was much younger than I was. So, he prescribed me the -children's- dose of medicine. So I was taking the ear drops for a week, and it just kept getting worse. I didn't want to tell mom how much my ear really hurt, and mostly hid it. Very well, since she didn't know. I was also prescribed some good pain relievers... which I hardly ever took, because it really didn't do much but take the very edge off, and I wanted to save them for my mom because when her leg bothers her she could take one. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain... Anyway, about a week later I was actually helping my mom because her foot was bothering her, and my ear felt like it was going to explode... and then my ear started to bleed because the eardrum broke. :P The next day I got brought to the doctors, and they were really surprised that I hadn't come in earlier, and that I had been given the wrong dosage. :P So anyway, I finally got the right dosage. Now, I don't think my hearing is affected a whole lot, I can still hear well as far as I know...
