Ok, I have a predicament. A certain object of my affections and frustrations wants to see my lj. I sort of accidently let it slip that I had one, since the fact that said person had a blog that they let me read... However, I'm torn because for one, my lj was never meant to be read by anyone I knew irl. However technically I kind of want to show said person my journal. And then, I also don't want to show them. There might be things in here that I don't want them to see just yet... though pretty much anything... 'exciting' or 'damning' (lol, j/k) is private or selectively friends filtered. heh However they also know that... and they don't understand why since this is the case it would be a big deal to see the 'public' portion. I dunno, it's just that I don't care if the general anonymous public reads it, and it has absolutely no connection to me in my everyday existance, because the reader has no idea who I am. You know what I mean?
They were like 'what would it take for me to see it, you know, besides a snowball in a handbasket in hell's chance of not melting...?' I can actually think of something that it would take for them to be able to see it. But I didn't want to ask, and instead said a gazillion dollars and a sniper for a certain leader that looks like a monkey. hehe :P

So... what would you do? I'd like some suggestions. o.O Also, from what I have written in here do I sound insane? :P

"Now that George W. Bush has been officially elected, single, sexy, American liberals - already a threatened species - will be desperate to escape.
These lonely, afraid (did we mention really hot?) progressives will need a safe haven.
You can help. Open your heart, and your home. Marry an American. Legions of Canadians have already pledged to sacrifice their singlehood to save our southern neighbours from four more years of cowboy conservatism." -exerpt from their front page.

That site is very funny. n.n Even thru all the new drama going on right now that I'm attempting to avoid, my friend showed me this link and it did make me smile. Go Krissy! It's been hard to make me smile lately...

(that website spawned from this: http://cnn.netscape.cnn.com/news/story.jsp?&idq=/ff/story/0002%2F20041105%2F1422858574.htm&photoid=20041104WHRE106
Me and my liberal friends have been saying we wanted to become citizens of other countries, I just didn't realise it was so widespread lol)

From mangofandango from quietpassion who got it from hilltop, check out A Letter to Incredulous Friends Around the World

"But despite all that, Bush won by only a small margin, with 55 million Americans voting to turn him out.

55 million Americans said no to the Iraq War.

55 million Americans said no to Abu Ghraib.

55 million Americans said no to Halliburton.

55 million Americans said yes to working with the rest of the world.

We are with you in your concern for human rights.

We are with you in your concern for the environment.

We are with you in opposing the Iraq War.

We are with you in abiding by the U.N. Charter.

...Like the Red Scare of the 1920s, like the McCarthy period of the 1950s, like the Nixon years and the Reagan years, this too will pass.

And so there will come a day when you and I alike can once again recite the line from Neruda, "America, I do not call your name without hope."
