more on gramma

I think you guys would like another update. Well, they waited as long as they could, but she -did- end up getting her surgery done yesterday, instead of today. I hope they had to pay the doctors *double* instead of just time and a half since it was Sunday! She should have had it done Saturday, because she was doing *really* bad and the leg looked absolutely horrible... they still wanted to wait until Monday but it was getting too bad way too fast. Now that her leg is off her colour is better, and her eyes are clearer than they've been in a long time. However, we still have to make sure that there is no infection that got in her system, and they have to keep giving her breathing treatments and stuff so she doesn't get pnemonia (sp?) especially since she has such trouble with her breathing as it is.

I can breathe a bit easier now that the surgery is finally done, but I'm not going to be calm until she's at least mostly recovered and nice and comfortable at home, not on morphine in the ICU. xP

I'm still worried though, because great gramma was doing ok after her leg came off, but then the doctors screwed it all up and she died... so yeah. o.O;; I know I shouldn't think that way, but I can't help it...

Oh, I wanted to add this too. I was visiting gramma today after school, and she told me that the lady on the other side of the curtain had tried to commit suicide. o.O; As it was, when I came in, the nurses were trying to get her to keep her clothes on. o.O; I thought that was... very interesting... o.o
