(no subject)

Well, today I went swimming for the first time this summer. Kinda sad considering it was the last day of June that I finally did... This summer has been really sucky though, very cold. ~.~ Like the other night we got frost. Frost! But this afternoon looked fairly nice, and it was 75 degrees... so we thought, hey, lets see if the waters warm! Not that I was holding out a lot of hope, seeing as it's been cold so the water hasn't had much of a chance to warm up this summer. Well, we get to the lake (Lake Superior, if you care to know) and I try out the water. Stepping in it makes my feet go numb. xP I'm used to swimming in fairly cold water, but I still have my limits. Swimming in water that could give me hypothermia is one of those limits... However, I *did* swim. I had to walk in and out of the water til my feet went numb, and then my feet were 'used to' the water. Same with my legs. And then I jumped in. Coooooold.... But I swam a bit. My hands kept going numb though... that annoys me. I didn't swim too long. It didn't help that as soon as we were driving to the beach it started to rain... and as I was in the water I saw lightning strike across the lake. xP So, as the weather got worse I finally gave up and went in. When I got out of the water mom was like 'you're bleeding, what happened?' I'm not sure what I did, but I had a nice cut near my collarbone. I'm assuming I got it when I dove under once, and was near some rocks. Not that I could feel getting cut, since I was absolutely numb lol. Oh, I was at my gramma's house. ^^ She lives right on the shore, in the bush. One day I'll post pictures. I love it there. You know, barring the bear encounters. xP One day I'll post about those too. However, it's 1 am and I need to wake up at 8 am... so I don't have a whole lot of time...

Oh, and in other news my bff is trying to set me up with a guy friend of hers. This could be a problem. xP
