I just finished watching The Last Samurai. That. movie. was. freakin. awesome. And now I will stop using odd puncutation. heh But seriously, I absolutely loved it. A friend of mine had suggested that I see it after he had seen it in theaters. Actually, he said that I had to see it because it was so damn good. And guess what? He was right. hehehe The plot was great, the battle scenes were awesome, one certain part at the end made me cry *I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it* (and I don't cry. Seriously.)
I've been thinking, I have a thing for movies with epic battles. lol
I meant to make a more interesting critique, but my mind is wandering... actually, I'm just tired. So in short: The Last Samurai is awesome. See it if you haven't already. ;)
Now, something I saw on the msn page. A guide to movies, one for women and one for men. The guide for men was the movies that women would want to see and the men would have to suffer thru. Here's the link though I don't know how long it will work: http://msn.match.com/msn/article.aspx?articleid=2291&articleSrc=4&sid=0002AB02-7071-42F9-A4B9-77A7CFB5B195&trackingid=516311&theme=210&lid=161
NONE of those movies look appealing to me. Blah. Boring. Why in the hell would I drag a guy to see one with me? Poor guys who'd have to sit thru them I guess... I don't like chick flicks though. xP
The other guide for women was on what movies men would drag them kicking and screaming to see. Here's the link to that one: http://msn.match.com/msn/article.aspx?articleid=2290&articleSrc=3&sid=D5529986-6912-4EF3-8C56-AFD8559F684A&trackingid=516311&theme=211&lid=160
Now *this* is what I'm talking about! Those are the movies *I* want to see. xP The Day After Tomorrow looks interesting now matter how implausible the plot. It still looks interesting.
Spider-Man 2. WHY would I not want to see that one??? I've been WAITING for that to come out! I said after I saw the first one that I would be camping outside the theater to see it! (no, I'm not going to be camping outside, that's not necessary) I saw Spidey 1 in theaters 4 times... I'm only a bit obsessed. ;P But I really like the whole Spidey thing. I like comic books... what?
Collateral sounds interesting. Also, Tom Cruise is in it. What's not to love?
Alien Vs. Predator is the least interesting of the bunch. I've seen the Alien movies but not really the Predator movie... I think I saw parts of it, and I know part of the plotline but not knowing one of the main charachers in this battle to the death movie makes it less interesting. However, I'm curious as to who wins. xD
In conclusion, why is it that girls are always lumped in the category of really wanting to watch chick flicks and guys get the action blockbuster things? xP I know it's not true for everyone, but that's the stereotype, and it annoys me to no end.
I have a theory on movies I want to see in a theater. I really like to see the movies with the kick-ass special effects on a big screen. If I want to see some depressing love story type thing or something I can rent it and watch it at home.
