Just a thought
Feb. 7th, 2004 11:45 pmI was thinking, I need to figure out this lj thing further. Like, I dunno, find a community or something. I already have a friend list thanks all the ppl from neocolours, but I want to explore the site more than I have. Hmmm.
Erg, today the weather was really nice. Nice as in above freezing and actually not snowing, plus the sun was *ACTUALLY* out! I'm so sick of gray skies... anway, so I decided 'hey, the back deck needs to be shoveled off! I might as well do that' So I went out and was like... erm, this is going to be more of a job than I thought... I just want to say that the snow needs to be shoveled off because otherwise the wieght of it is going to break it, even though it's built very solid. Especially if the snow gets all meltly because of freezing rain or something, then we might as well kiss our deck goodbye. Anyway, it's been snowing like mad lately, and no-one has cleaned the deck in a while... I've been busy with school, a lot of nights I don't get back until after 6 at the earliest and by then it's already dark outside, and I leave at 7:30 am... so not too much time for me to be going out and shoveling. Anyway, so there's just a *massive* amount of snow on the deck. And just so you know, it's a bloody big deck. It's like the size of a living room to give you an idea. Anyway, the snow piled on it is like 5 feet deep. I had to climb a snowbank to get to the deck steps, and shovel my way up the steps... if you hadn't shoveled you wouldn't have even known there were steps there. o.O; So I shoveled off the deck, and that snow's not light, especially since I have to throw it over the rails. :P At the very back the snow was *taller* than I am. Bah. I hate snow.
