Back to college... whooot?
Jan. 12th, 2004 11:14 pmWell, today was fun... ok not really. :P
First off last night I couldn't sleep. I went to bed at 12:30 am, which isn't too bad. I had to wake up at 5:30 am, so I wouldn't get much sleep still but it wasn't too bad you know? Well, I went to bed but *could not sleep* for the life of me. I finally feel asleep at 2:30 am. 2:30! grrr... So I went to school and had class from 8am-6pm on 3 hours of sleep. Evil I tell you... >.>
It seems I wasn't the only person who did that though, all my friends that I saw said they did the exact same thing. :P So... well, at least I wasn't the only one. o.O
The first class I had was a PE class, bowling. Yes bowling. Very exciting. O.o; Well, I don't have anything against bowling, though I don't think it likes me very much. I've only bowled twice in my life, and I've made one, yes one! whole strike... *koff* Hopefully I don't make too much of a fool out of myself... but this is beginning bowling, so I'm hoping I'm not the only one taking it that isn't great at it. :P One guy in my class I recognise though, I went to high school with. Ok, now before you think 'hey, that's pretty cool' I'd like to say that we never really got along very well... *koff* I'll prolly just avoid him though, I see him every now and then around campus, and we just act like we don't see each other. lol
Oh, and then I went to my botany class. That class looks cool, the prof is awesome! I had her for my first bio class at college, and so far she's still my fave prof. I even got her as my advisor. ^^ She wrote the textbook for the class too. She actually makes things *intersting*...
Next class was Uni Chem II. Ick. The prof doesn't like to teach us anything helpful... I'm not naturally good at chem, so I struggled thru Uni Chem I last semester. I'm not looking forward to this semester... baaaah. I'm going to leave it at that for now.
Then it was off to revisions. Well, this is a class that I'm required to take, though I'm still unsure of what it's supposed to be about. I'm assuming it's about revising stuff but I don't think so. o.O; The only thing I've heard about it is that it's 'an ungodly amount of writing and work for a general education credit'... doesn't that sound great? XP
The teacher for that seems really cool though. The only downside of that class is it's not held in a real *classroom*, it looks more like we're holding class in what was supposed to be a storage closet. o.O;; We're quite squished to say the least... Also, out of the 45 or so ppl there are a whole 4 girls in it, myself included. Well, I suppose I could think of that as a good thing though... *koff* (oh, I should say that the college I go to isn't exactly populated with girls, less than 25% of the student body is female, so for every 4 guys there is one girl. Good odds if you're looking for a date I guess... heh)
Anyway, I still don't really know what the class is about, but somehow she informed us that she's centering it around video games! O.O Ok, now there's a subject that's not hard to find fun! For me at least... hehehe She was like, you'll do a presentation on your game, etc etc. I guess we'll get in groups according to what kind of game you like. She was like sports or violent (I'm thinking violent could work for me...), then she was like, or we could do like a Tomb Raider group, you know something that centers around a female (and I was like damn now I have to pick...) hehehe
If you can't tell I do love to play video games, which is good because I live in the middle of nowhere and all I have is a lot of snow to entertain me. AND I HATE SNOW! Bah. I've ranted before about not having anything where I live...
Well, I need to be getting to bed, so I'll end here. I'm leaving out my adventures in Calc II and my 3 hour long botany lab... I'm sure you're just soo sad that you're missing out on that now aren't you? ;)
