Livejournal Scrapbook is going away and will be replaced by the mysterious "Photo Album". Your 10GB of Paid Member space is now 2GB. If you care, there is an explanation in Russian on the Russian news page. There's also a user-submitted translation.

+ You will no longer have access to your Scrapbook once this goes live.
+ Your images will redirect, but the URL will be different.
+ Unable to tell what will happen to any photos you have that put you over the 2GB limit.
+ Back up your Scrapbook just in case.
+ If you want your photos transferred over now instead of waiting, let them know here.

I'm rather fond of my scrapbook and I'm annoyed that it's going to be changed and have significantly less space. :/ Not that I think I've used anywhere near 10 GB, but I might have used more than I thought. And that's before posting up all the sculpting stuff I've been meaning to!

I'd be less annoyed if I could get back into my yahoo account. It hasn't been my main email for quite a while now, and somehow someone hacked it because Scottie was getting spam from me. That was sometime last spring I think. I got back in because the password was the same, and changed it. Then I went out to Pilot and didn't do anything with Yahoo. When I came home I found that my password was wrong. I don't know if I did something wrong with keeping the new password or if I changed it again, or what, but I can't get in.

I also can't remember one of my secret questions. I haven't had the energy to care about getting in until recently, but I've been wanting to use my flickr which uses that login. :/

I'm not sure what to do about getting my account back. I haven't been able to find anything about what to do if you don't know it, and I hadn't tied my email to my phone or other email (mostly because those options weren't available when I was actively using it!). I made up this secret question in high school, I don't remember what it is any more. xP Since I don't have those other options it just loops me around. I feel like I need to talk to a person about it but I wasn't having luck finding a email or phone when I was looking, just the helper thing that just eventually asks for my secret question. Which doesn't help when that's what I'm trying to get help for. Ugh.

CISPA would give the government and corporations vast new powers to track and share data about Americans’ Internet use.

But our hundreds of thousands of emails and tens of thousands of phone calls have had a real impact:

Amendments were adopted that made CISPA (marginally) better.

Earlier this month CISPA was supposed to sail through, but we helped foment opposition, and the vote was far closer than anybody could have imagined even a couple of weeks ago.

Most Democrats held firm in opposition, and more than two dozen libertarian-leaning Republicans defied their leadership and voted no.

Most importantly, President Obama has threatened to veto CISPA.

***Additionally, CISPA would destabilize the internet inviting cyber attacks and increasing the amount of identity theft.***

The Senate will consider cyber security legislation in the coming weeks. Let’s turn up the heat right away: Tell the Senate to reject CISPA and any and all legislation that doesn’t respect privacy and civil liberties.
Add your name at right to tell the Senate to reject cyber security legislation that doesn’t respect privacy.
