Wooo Mothers day

Geez I haven't posted in a couple of days. That's out of character for me! I'm glad my tweets ship, at least you know I'm alive if you see those!

So anyway, it's Mother's Day tomorrow (well, today, because it is past midnight but still). Seeing stuff about that put a damper on an otherwise rather nice day. For those new here, my gramma was my Frigga and I easily explain my family with Loki's, except before TDW I could say "But at least Loki still has his Frigga!" and then there went my heart. (That whole bit after she died... was really easily reflected in the events in my own life.)

Will I dream of you now?

At least those obnoxious mothers day ads will stop. It's just a constant stab in the feels. Scottie and I are both products of poor family environments, and neither of us talk to our mothers. (Mother is Odin!) And my gramma used to send me mothers day cards because I had so much responsbility for raising my siblings, and my gramma was my mother figure. And she's gone.

Blaaaaaah stupid holidays. I need to go to bed. *facepalms*

I know, I was too! I went in being pretty confident that they couldn't hurt me because they can't really kill Loki. Then they killed Frigga and I was like noooooo wait not Frigga because of my reasons and that was the only way to legit hurt Loki. I totes cried.

I'm sorry this day is so hard for you. :( It's easy to forget that certain holidays carry more angst than celebration, especially ones where family is involved. *hugs* Keep an eye out for candy discounts tomorrow! It's not as big a stash as V-Day or Easter, but there will be some half-price chocolate out there somewhere.

Aw thank you dear. *hugs* I feel a bit bad about it, I know that I have friends on my FL that are great mothers and I hope that they have a great day because they're awesome. But still the constant bombardment of mother's day stuff has been wearing on me. xP

I am all about discount candy! I'm even going to go grocery shopping tomorrow because it's payday... I'll have to keep an eye out. For some reason it hadn't occurred to me to do that. I always look for discount Easter, Christmas, V-day etc candies, but for some reason Mother's day doesn't usually occur to me.
