Sculpting challenge, day 168! N pony continued. Also birthday plans~

I continued the N pony sculpt tonight! I attached the legs to the body, which was a little more difficult than I'd anticipated because I'd left the rods on the back legs a little shorter than I'd meant to. But I only had a thin layer of clay on the hind end, so it was easy to get the rod in the body armature.

Then I did a lot of sculpting around the body. Some of it has been detailed a lot, but on other parts it's just sort of blocked in. I need to do sculpt a fair amount still on his back end, but I've got a really good start. I didn't add the ears just yet, I meant to do tht before I put on the legs. Oops! it shouldn't be a huge deal, it just probably would have been a little less hazardous if I'd put on the ears first like usual.

*Note: Lala is supposed to be pretty tiny and N is tall, so the difference is intentional.*

In other news, Scottie asked me if I had any requests for my birthday, and I actually had some! Well, of course, I want to go see Loki 2 again, so there will be that!
Also he said he would crochet or knit me a Loki winter hat, which will be amazing! I've been trying to find a picture of a Loki hat I saw at work a few days ago that I thought I saw on ravelry. Of course, now I can't find it anywhere to save my life. xP I did find a pattern for an adult!Loki hat from the early comics, actually where I'm reading now where instead of the horns he has a circlet closer to kid Loki. The pattern that I'm trying to find is actually from kid Loki though. Hopefully I can find it! n_n

I just watched Thor for the first time last week so suddenly your journal images make a ton more sense :P Is there a Hot Topic by you? I was just there on Saturday and they had a sweatshirt with the horns and everything. It was cute!

Aw, thanks for showing me that! I do have a Hot Topic nearby, I went in to see that sweatshirt recently! (Also looking for a Loki tshirt that they have). I think it's rather awesome! :D I'd totally get it if I had the extra money. Scottie is making me a winter Loki hat though!

Anyway, basically, I liked the movie but haven't seen the Avengers yet. Do Odin's ravens make an appearance in subsequent films?

Hot topic is great for ideas and then I have my mom make me stuff. I can't wait to see pix of your Loki hat once it is ready :)

Oh man, I hate when that happens!

Odin's ravens have been in every film, they even make a cameo in the Avengers!
ATM I'm not sure if they're in the main part of the film or not in Thor, but I know they're in the extended scene w/ Loki and Frigga in Odin's chambers. (I really, really want a directors cut of this movie btw- some of my favorite things are in the deleted scenes!) I'm assuming you watched those scenes but I don't know. n_n
They're certainly in the Avengers, but you sort of have to know to be looking for them (there is an awful lot going on in the movie after all, with all the different characters to follow).
I think they get the most screen time with Odin in Thor 2.

I'm excited about the Loki hat! :D Scottie is going out today to get some materials for it. :3
I understand that! I've actually been kicking around an idea for a Loki hoodie of my own for a while, before the Hot Topic version came out. I think the one in my head is actually nicer, but I also want to support the official stuff because I want more official stuff to be made lol. Of course, atm it's a moot point because I can't splurge on it anyway, but still. xD
