Ok, so I'm getting a computer. O.O

Though my mom is like 'order now!' I want to think it thru a little bit more. I want to decide if I want a desktop system or a laptop. They will cost nearly the same.

It looks like the desktop is a little better, but they both sound great. And they're both much better than mine. :D

The laptop would be a good idea if you really had a use for the portability of it. If you go to someone's house often, or you go to classes, it might be nice to have a computer with you.

If it just stays connected in your room though, desktop might be a better choice. It comes with 512MB memory as part of the price right? That's not bad...

i personally love having a laptop, because then i can sit on the couch and watch tv while i'm on the computer or lay on my bed, which is obviously comfier than a desk, and take it with me wherever i want. but if you are not a lazy person like me and you don't care about being able to lay around with your computer all day, then you don't need it, hehe.

I'd go for a desktop, simply because if you spill watermelon juice all over the keyboard you can get a new keyboard for $10 rather than replacing the whole thing.
