I dyed my hair red (auburn red not ginger red) for two years. I loved it. But I let it fade out and dyed it back to just lighter than my natural hair color so it looks like I actually went outside this summer XD
As for costume making while losing weight, you can make the horned crown thing and the jacket now, and wait to do the more "form fitting" stuff until like the beginning of October. That way it won't be huge on you/you won't swim in it. Or alternatively, they make stretchy dresses were there is a lot of leeway in either direction if you wanted to use that as a base. I saw them at my Halloween store for like 10 dollars or so.
I don't know what I'm going to do for Halloween this year. I could do Velma from Scooby Doo rather easy or Daria <3 but we'll see. I would love to have a job by Halloween so I don't feel so bad for celebrating.
