Jan. 22nd, 2005 01:01 amWell, today was interesting. Well, actually it was boring as all hell but since I was bored out of my mind I did get some stuff done. I decided that the computer was boring me, so I decided to clean stuff. You have no idea how bored I have to be to decide that cleaning sounds fun. So I cleaned the kitchen, and then I decided that I should clean the bird cages.
They needed it, so that was a good thing to get done. One of my birds got loose though! There is this society finch that we have (we always call him the baby even though he's now full grown... He was a baby from the last batch of babies Richard had, and we had kept babysat the birds for a while. We got a baby out of the deal.) Anyway, when I was picking up the top of the cage containing the birds to bring it over to where I had the bottom, he fell off the perch (I'll explain why in a sec), and then he landed on the cupboard and flew away. o.O These birds don't do well when let out, they fly into windows. o.o; (so we do the best we can, and give them spacious cages :P) The baby was pretty easy to catch though because he can't seem to fly very well. He flew onto the kitchen table, where I would have caught him but I was trying to catch him very carefully because I was afraid of hurting him, so I kind of missed him... Then he flew back onto the cupboard, and I missed him again. Then he flew into the garbage. o.O Well, onto the garbage. I caught him then, and put him back in his cage with the other 2 spice finches. *phew*
There is something wrong with him though. There seems to be something odd with his feet, and he can't fly very well. He's not the most healthy bird it would seem... Still, he seems like a happy enough bird. I dunno.
So then after I cleaned their cage, and my waxwing's cage, I decided that I should go thru stuff in my room. I've decided that I'm going to eliminate a bunch of my stuff, because I don't want to be tied down by junk, and especially with my RA, it's not going to be the most easy/smart thing to do to be lugging big heavy boxes of shit around. I already got rid of a pile of stuff. I'll sell stuff on ebay if any of it I think would be worthwhile, though the majority of it will prolly go into this summer's garage sale. *nods*
Then I took the dog for over an hour long walk, and got home and completed and submitted my online physics homework. I got 100%, and I had time to spare to finish it! (it was due at midnight)
Anyway, for being bored, I did get a fair amount of stuff done. Well, technically, once I was doing stuff I wasn't bored anymore. It would have been more interesting though if the only thing I could do to combat boredom wasn't clean...
